As part of the legacy from his teacher, Baba Ramdas, Pankaj Naram received 25,000
parchment pages of the original Ayurvedic text. These pages contain the lost
healing secrets passed on from guru to student over 2,000 years of an unbroken lineage
of Ayurvedic masters to the present day.
The Siddha Veda, is a vast herbal pharmacopoeia and treasure trove
of medical knowledge and wisdom, handwritten in four ancient languages, including
Sanskrit and Tibetan. Until now, the Siddha Veda has never been translated!
THE SIDDHA VEDA STORY AS TOLD BY PANKAJ
NARAM
I learned the secret art and science of Ayurvedic pulse reading
from my master, Baba Ramdas, whom we fondly called Babaji. Before he
left his body at the age of 124, he directed us to keep in touch with his sons and
grandson for further guidance.
In 1994, I went to Nepal to meet his sons and they handed me a letter from Babaji.
This letter said, “Now you have completed your 12 years of service to humanity.
You have passed through all the four stages of your practice, and you are ready
to create a vision that will serve humanity and all the living beings on this planet.”
My teacher taught me that when you start something, during the first three years,
people will oppose you (Virodh stage). But you don’t get shaken from your mission.
Then they will ignore you for another three years (Upeksha stage), and you are still
not to be affected by this. Then a strong jealousy will evolve and people will try
to destroy you (Irsha stage). You are still to remain firm on your mission; then,
the last three years people will follow you (Anukaran stage). At this stage, you
must be humble and not allow ego to take over. Otherwise, Nature will make you collapse.
Once you pass through all the four stages, then you are ready to give your wisdom
to the world.
DISCOVERING MY VISION
I went into silence for one week in a cave, very deep inside the forest, through
the process as directed by our Babaji. For the first two days, I spent time on forgiving
and forgetting past grievances of all sorts. My guru always believed that you have
to offload your outmoded baggage in order to create something new. So I made lists
of all the people and upsets that were bothering me, and I did a process of forgiving
them and forgetting from my heart using special marma points.
Then I spent the next two days reflecting on what I had done until then — how many
people I had helped all over the world — and I asked myself whether it was satisfying.
I felt extremely full of gratitude, as I realized all that Babaji had predicted
many years ago had come true.
I spent the next two days creating a vision for my work. The whole vision came like
a blue print from a cosmic power – as if I was receiving instruction about my destination
along with the map of how to get there. It was beyond imagination! The vision included
a complete commitment to help humanity, animals, plants and the entire planet using
all the instruments of Ayurveda: education, herbs, pulse reading, marma
points, kitchen remedies and panchakarma detoxification. The vision also
clearly defined the worldwide work that was to be our destiny.
The last day was the celebration day. The guru’s son, on this day, handed over the
first section of the handwritten manuscripts. This included 2,000 pages. He told
me, “These pages are more than 2,000 years old. The first manuscript was written
by the head of our lineage Vaidya Jivak.” (Vaidya Jivak was the
personal physician of Gautama Buddha.)
As hundreds of years passed by, every member of the lineage added their own experience
to enrich the manuscripts. Hence, the manuscripts are written in five languages:
Sanskrit, Nevari, Magadhi, Pali and Tibetan. Babaji’s son said, “We have more than
20,000 pages that we need to hand over to you. Now, you are soldiers for protecting
this knowledge and spreading it in the world. At the end, you will need to find
a successor to whom you will hand over all the pages.” Slowly and steadily,
the family of Babaji has given all the pages to me, Pankaj Naram.
In order to help you, your family and our society worldwide, much effort is going
into translating these writings, as well as into creating the many formulas using
the precise herbs mentioned in these ancient documents. I am working with
Tibetan lamas and Sanskrit scholars. When each segment of translation is complete,
I create the formulas documented in that section. Then all the formulas are tested
with scientific parameters to ensure their safety and effectiveness.
For the past five years, this treasure of wisdom from the authentic manuscripts
has helped to create effective formulas to alleviate modern health problems too
numerous to count.
