An obsession for perfection and high standards prompted Pankaj Naram to establish
his own modern herbal factory at Palghar, a suburb two-hours outside of Mumbai.
Since 1987, Pankaj Naram and his team have overseen quality control
of manufacturing of all the Jivan Shakti herbs.
Developing the Jivan Shakti line of supplements posed several challenges. First, to
create the potent Ayurvedic formulas as documented in the ancient writings required
highly concentrated herbal extracts (ghana) to use for a base. Pankaj Naram has
insisted on this foundation for his more than 350 herbal formulas.
Two thousand years ago herbs were more potent because the soil was more fertile,
and there were no chemical fertilizers or pesticides in use. So, maintaining this
authenticity was the first hurdle! Secondly, there was no uniformity in the quality
of Ayurvedic herbs as various suppliers had different quality benchmarks. Therefore
batches of the same generic herb from various herbal producers often varied in consistency.
All of this prompted Pankaj Naram to go on a nationwide search
in 1995 for a supplier with the necessary concentrated extracts.
Two suppliers measured up to his meticulous standards and were chosen to be the
certified suppliers for Jivan Shakti. Since that time, Pankaj Naram has been ordering
specific herbal ingredients from them in concentrated measures.
To this day all of the Jivan Shakti herbal ingredients are carefully chosen, measured
and mixed according to ancient methods. The Jivan Shakti products are manufactured
under the strict supervision of technically qualified personnel and tested to meet
standards for heavy metals, microorganisms and other international parameters according
to authoritative health guidelines. Only ingredients carrying the Jivan Shakti quality
seal are used. Jivan Shakti goes the extra mile to ensure quality control in manufacturing
their wide array of authentic Ayurveda herbal remedies.
